For leading Dixie State to a 2-0 weekend at the Sodexo Tip-Off Classic in Seattle, Wash., including a win over the second-ranked team in the country, junior guard DeQuan Thompson is our Northwestern Mutual Male Athlete of the Week.

Thompson, who was named the tournament's MVP, had 18 points and five rebounds on Friday night against Central Washington. He then set a new career-high with 21 points in DSU's overtime win over Seattle Pacific.

This is the first Athlete of teh Week honor for Thompson and the second consecutive for the men's hoops team.
