Shannon Young has been named the first 2013-14 school year Female Athlete of the Week (presented by Northwestern Mutual) after leading the Red Storm in kills over the weekend at the New Mexico Highlands Tournament.

Young had 45 kills in four matches and assisted on 10 blocks as Dixie State split four matches in Las Vegas, NM.
