Interior post threat on both the offensive and defensive side of the court, Zach Robbins from the men's basketball team has been named the 2012-2013 Dixie State Male Athlete of the Year.
The Upland, Calif. native had a great season after returning from a church mission in Ohio for the past two years. Robbins led Dixie State this season in points (13.3), rebounds (8.6), blocked shots (1.8), and field goals made (5.7) a game.

He had 21 games scoring in double figures that included a 10-game string in PacWest play from Jan. 12 through Feb. 23. Robbins posted one of seven season double-doubles with 26 points and 18 rebounds – both career highs - in a road test against Fresno Pacific on Dec. 8.

Robbins was named to the Pacific West Conference First Team, PWC All-Tournament Team, Second Team Daktronics NCAA Division II All-West Region Team, and the 2013 NABC Coaches’ Division II All-West Second Team.
