Dixie State senior outside hitter Katie Luna (Mesa, AZ/Westwood) has been named the Pacific West Conference Volleyball Player of the Week. The honor was announced by the PacWest Media Office in Phoenix, AZ, on Monday, Sept. 21, for matches contested from Sept. 14-20.

Luna led the Red Storm to a 2-0 start to the PacWest season and a sweep of Grand Canyon by averaging 4.88 points per game. She ranked fourth in scoring for the week in the conference after compiling 39 points on 34 kills, 3 aces, 2 block assists and a block solo.

She also ranked fourth in kill average (4.25 per game), while on defense she averaged 5.25 digs per game - third-best in the league for the week. She finished her two-game set with Grand Canyon by compiling 42 total digs.
